Quick Laundry Tips

With or without wash balls, there are many ways to make laundry easier, faster and time wise. Here are some useful tips for you.

  •  Use low temperature settings and reduce thermostat on your water heater. Adjusting your thermostat at 120 and using warm or cold water instead of hot in wash cycles will let you save some energy. Pre-soak heavily soiled clothes in water with detergents or wash balls before turning on the wash cycle. Use cold water when rinsing.
  •  Use the washing machine’s maximum load capacity. Washing one large load of clothes instead 2 loads on low or medium setting will save more energy,
  • Save water and detergent by using the suds-saving feature on your washing machine.
  •   For heavily stained clothes, remove stain as early as possible. When removing stain, remove it from the back of the garment. But before doing so, test your stain removal method, whether effective or not, on hidden spots of your soiled clothes.
  •  For maintaining the shades of bright and dark-colored clothes, turn them inside out and set your washing machine on coolest temperature.
  • Use a cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle and a little amount on wash cycles to make clothes soft. It can also be used for soaking clothes with food stains. Baking soda is another great addition to wash or rinse cycles for an extra fragrant boost.
  • When removing blood stains, dampen the stained spot first with hydrogen peroxide and then rinse with cold water.
  • To save electricity, hang your washed clothes under the heat of the sun to dry instead of using the dryer.
  •  Clean your dryer and wash filters after every use. Doing so will maintain a good dryer performance and make your washing machine last longer.

Wash Balls: Not Your Ordinary Laundry Tool

What are wash balls?
A Wash ball, also known as a miracle washing ball, laundry ball or washing machine ball, is a revolutionary new product made for washing clothes conveniently and easily or as an alternative to laundry detergents. Wash balls are made of materials and minerals same as those used in detergents but they do not contain toxic ingredients like sodium Lauryl sulphate, artificial fragrances and bleaches which are commonly found in most detergents.

What's in them?
Wash balls contain pieces of small pellets inside them which are responsible for increasing the water’s molecular motion and power during the process of laundry inside the washing machine.

How Do they Work?
These small pellets inside the wash ball are said to release infra red rays that are capable of breaking hydrogen molecules in water into smaller water cluster and activate such cluster to act upon the molecular motion of the water. Water motion and power increases, penetrating easily into the fibers of clothes.  The wash balls can also emit negative ions that would soften the fibers in clothes so the dirt can be wiped out faster and easier even without the use of detergent. The small pellets inside the ball would also release molecules of ionized oxygen and raise the water’s ph level. When water PH is high, the fabric in clothes softens, allowing more water to enter in fabric weaves to remove dirt easily.

Reasons why you should Use Wash balls in Laundry?
  •  Wash balls contain pellets which are certified antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. They can destroy common strains of bacteria found in dirty clothes like E.coli and staphylococcus usually from dead skin cells. Wash balls are ideal for washing baby clothes without worrying about harsh detergent additives. The use of wash balls have been approved by Action against Allergies in UK. They are also used to prevent eczema or skin dermatitis caused by hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, or allergy to the harsh chemicals in detergents.
  • Wash balls are user-friendly. They can be used along with either warm or  cold water. You can also use them for hand washing. They can be used without mess!
  • Wash balls allow you to save time.  You can save time in doing the laundry since you will no longer have to soak your dirty clothes with fabric softeners, fabric conditioners or other washing additives.
  •  Wash balls are environment-friendly. Unlike detergents, wash balls are made without toxic substances. So after you’re done washing your clothes, you can freely throw the used water without throwing off toxic chemicals into the ground. The used water can still be recycled in watering your garden, etc.
  • Wash balls do not contain chlorine so they are less likely to cause discoloration to your clothes.
  • Wash balls allow you to save Resources: Money, Water and Electricity. Wash balls have a lifespan of 3 years, if you used them every day. But if you only use them once or twice a week, it can be used longer than that period. You don’t need to worry about running out of laundry detergent, you may no longer need to buy one if you use wash balls. Your clothes will also be easy to rinse so you can turn off your rinse cycle. This saves water and electricity. Imagine how much you can save if you don’t need to buy detergent for laundry.
